Mephiles the Dark is the third boss fought in Shadow Generations, which is part of Sonic X Shadow Generations. Originally one of the main antagonists of the 2006 Sonic the Hedgehog game, Mephiles' fight is based on his boss fight within the interior, ancient ruins of Dusty Desert, however this time he intends on defeating Shadow (who has no memory of Mephiles due to Solaris' erasure) and then restore himself to the timeline he was erased from.
