Knuckles[3] is a live action Paramount+ television show set in the universe of the Sonic the Hedgehog film series. It is produced by Paramount Pictures and stars Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna and Adam Pally as Wade Whipple.
The series finished filming in June 2023,[4] and premiered on Paramount+ on April 26, 2024.
Contents
Premise
The series takes place between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, with the latter slated for a theatrical release on December 20, 2024. In the Knuckles series, the titular character "agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior", as per the official logline.[5]

History
Originally the series was supposed to release in Fall 2023,[4] but was delayed until April 2024 most likely due to the American writers strike that happened in Spring/Summer 2023.
