Egg & the Chicken is a VS 4 mini-game in Sonic Shuffle. It is randomly played when a player lands on an Event Space.

Gameplay

This mini-game is essentially a game of chicken. All four players stand under a basketball hoop, and Dr. Eggman will drop a bomb on each of the hoops. The player who stays longest under their hoop without getting hit by the bomb wins. Players can press to leave their hoop at any time, but it is up to them to decide when they should press the button. Sometimes the bombs will roll very fast down the hoop but then go back up in order to trick the players. Eggman also hits the wall to disrupt to bomb's pattern.

30 Rings go to the player who stays under their bomb the longest, and any players who get hit by the bombs will lose 10. Ties are possible when more than one player leaves their hoop at the same time, so there could be more than one winner.
