The Conductor's wife is an anthropomorphic dog introduced in 2023’s The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog as the wife of the titular Conductor. She makes her debut at the game’s conclusion, warmly welcoming her husband back after his kidnapping by the Mirage Express. Well received by the Sonic community as one of the series’ standout background characters, she has since become a fan favorite and continues to make cameos in subsequent Sonic media.
Although only ever referred to as the Conductor's wife, her creator Min Ho Kim calls her Flora.[1][2]

Character conception
Min Ho Kim recalls that the Conductor's wife's design was directly based off one of the artist's existing original characters, first created in one of Kim's high school photography classes. This character design was eventually reworked multiple times into the final Conductor's wife, with the name Flora being taken from the original character's initial name.[2]
