- Back to: Chaotix (prototype 0202).
The "Sega" screen has an accompanying sound. This is not present in any of the other protos or the final. However, the sound was changed in the final but never used. Its SFX I.D. in the final and in this proto is 6B.
The title screen is almost the same as the final game, just without the copyright text. Slight timing differences mean the purple and blue stripes of the road differ if the player doesn't skip the intro.
"02B" is visible in the main menu. This could be a version number or date.
The NPC Select screen is the same as the 0119 prototype, but has been centred vertically.
Pressing in the sound test menu causes the music to speed up. The final game gives you more control over the tempo when holding , though this feature would not emerge until the 0213 build.
This is the first prototype to feature the last music track, "Decision 2nd", however here it is just labeled as a string of '?' characters.
Select "Not Used" level 0, and the good ending credits will roll on a black background. The text has been finalised, save for '"Cassablanca"projects' at the top.
You can get a Game over if the timer is over 10:00 in an act or having -900 rings in this prototype, making it the first build to add this feature.
