Bomb is an enemy found in the video game, Sonic the Hedgehog. Bombs walks back and forth, either on the ground or ceiling. When approached, they explode into four projectile balls. They cannot be damaged in any way, only avoided. They are the only enemies in the game that don't contain an animal.
Bomb is the only enemy whose design differs (slightly) between the 16-bit and 8-bit versions of Sonic the Hedgehog.[1]
Bomb is one of the few enemies not featured in the North American or European manuals and typically did not feature in merchandise, therefore does not have an official name outside of Japan. However, Sega of America's Dean Sitton claims to have named the enemy "Bomb".[2]
