Template:CharacterSheet Zazz (ザズ Zazu) is one of the primary antagonists of Sonic Lost World and a member of the Deadly Six. He is a very tall, very lanky Zeti with a vibrant pink body, purple horns and a gaping mouth with a long tongue.

Personality and Traits

Zazz is a nasty and ruthless Zeti with an unpredictable personality, which to him is both a blessing and a curse. This metalhead comes off as wild and unruly to the point of coming off as rather feral. He has no boundaries when it comes to manners or social customs, having no qualms about being extremely close to the faces of others, screaming loudly, making rude comments and even showing disinterest when being scolded. Zazz loves to fight constantly and enjoys running wild more than eating three meals a day, and any attempts to hold him back from a fight will send him flying into a rage, so will showing him disrespect. He'll fight enemies even before he knows what he's up against, and will pursue them with relentless determination.

Due to his incredibly destructive personality, Zazz is inherently violent even by Deadly Six standards, and relishes in the prospect of carnage and bloodshed. Like Zavok, Zazz is up for the idea of causing global genocide for his own gain, and is also very vengeful as shown when he tried to launch an attack on Dr. Eggman after the scientist lost control of the Zeti. These aspects make him an omnicidal monster at heart.

Zazz boasts high amounts of physical strength, which is handy for lugging his Moon Mech around. He is also very acrobatic, as he can jump very far and can even keep up with Sonic. Like all Zeti, Zazz has the ability to manipulate magnetic fields, allowing him to control electronics, which he does to Eggman's Badniks.

Sonic Lost World Boss Battles

Under orders from Zavok, Zazz will ambush Sonic at the end Windy Hill Zone 2 while riding his Moon Mech. While on board his Moon Mech, he will hover around the screen for a bit before flying off-screen, only to fly in and make the Moon Mech cough up harmful stars on Sonic. These stay in place for a moment before falling straight down, but they are spaced far enough apart from each other to be easily avoided. The player must jump into the Moon Mech three times to bring Zazz down.

Once grounded, the feral Zeti will resort to dashing left and right with a shoulder barge to attack Sonic, and will continue to do this until he gets tired or until the player has hit him enough times. He will then repeat the whole attack process at a much faster pace. Bring him down and hit him again, and he will be defeated.

This battle is repeated in Nightmare Zone, with the Moon Mech being replaced by the second-level Nightmaren Puffy, who drops gems on Sonic instead of stars. Sonic simply needs to hit Puffy six times to make Zazz fall off and end the battle.

Second Battle (Wii U/PC)

Level: [[Windy Hill Zone 4]]

Near the end of Windy Hill Zone 4, a chase sequence will begin in which the player must chase after Zazz while he hauls his Moon Mech. As the chase goes on, the Moon Mech will shoot stars that will rain down on the player, but those can be avoided if they keep running. The chase will then lead the player up two platforms where Zazz will continually toss his Moon Mech down to harm the player. After this sequence, Zazz will trick the player by hiding in the bushes until they run past, then chase them himself. After a brief platforming section with Springs and Speed Boosters, the real battle begins.

Zazz will attack by tossing his Moon Mech at Sonic, which will bounce to the other side of the screen, then he will jump to the other side and do it again. While the Moon Mech bounces, Zazz just stands there, completely vulnerable to attack from the player. If he is allowed to throw the Moon Mech a third time, he will roll it along the ground, and the player will have to double-jump to avoid it. Approximately 8 hits are needed to defeat Zazz, but two fully-charged Homing Attacks will also take him down.

Final Battle (Wii U/PC)

Level: [[Lava Mountain Zone 1]]

Zazz shows up before Zomom and Master Zik in Lava Mountain Zone 1 to get his revenge on Sonic. Upon landing on the planetoid via volcanic rock, the crazed Zeti will shoot pink energy shots from both of his hands in a V-pattern, then he will run away from Sonic, dropping exploding caltrops as he runs, stopping to shoot more energy shots at the hedgehog. When hit enough times, Zazz will become more aggressive. Keep hitting him, and Zazz will go down and disappear in a puff of smoke.

3DS Version

Game: [[Sonic Lost World (3DS)]][[Category:Sonic Lost World (3DS) bosses]]
Level: [[Windy Hill]]

In the 3DS version, Zazz is first encountered in Windy Hill Zone 3, where he will show up at random intervals throughout the Zone and repeatedly toss his Moon Mech at Sonic, who must dodge the Moon Mech until the pink Zeti gets fed up and leaves.

He is then properly fought in Windy Hill's boss stage, taking place on a 3D planetoid set at night. Zazz will ride atop his Moon Mech and will chase after the player for a short time before crashing the Moon Mech down in a slam attack that can potentially crush the player and shoot out stars. Crashing down the Moon Mech will make Zazz lose his balance, allowing the player to hit him with a Homing Attack to ground the crazed Zeti and stun him. At this point, the player can then whale on him with a series of Homing Attacks to inflict damage on him before he comes to his senses and gets back on his Moon Mech. The player must then repeat the process until his health bar is completely drained.

This battle is repeated in Lava Mountain Zone 1, preceding the battle with Zomom. In this rematch, Zazz has more health and has a new attack when he is on his last hit point, where he'll roll the Moon Mech around and try to run over Sonic. When he comes to a stop, Sonic can finish him off with a Homing Attack. The Red Burst Color Power also appears for this fight, allowing the player to deal even more damage to Zazz.

Other Appearances

Zazz appears in Sonic Dash as one of two possible bosses the player can fight against, the other being Dr. Eggman. He was originally added to the game to promote Sonic Lost World, but was later made a permanent addition to the game in the v1.9 update. To defeat him, the player has to dodge his attacks until they reach the end of the stage.

Zazz appeared as a boss during the "Zazz Raid" event in Sonic Runners. Zazz returns to get his revenge on Sonic, Tails and Knuckles by stealing Power Rings to make himself more powerful, only to lose every time. He tries to get help from the other Zeti, but their help either fails or he gets teased, then Zavok persuades him to keep fighting. Zazz would attack the player by riding on his Moon Mech and shooting stars at them. With each defeat, Zazz would power up and become more dangerous, with his hit points continually increasing, and the player was encouraged to invite friends on social media to help them if the going got tough.

Zazz also appears in both versions of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as a playable guest character exclusive to Table Tennis.
