Windy Valley is an Action Stage in Sonic Adventure. It continues the Sonic gameplay tradition with the windy fans that blow the characters around and across large distances. This stage is broken into three parts with lively music and outrageous heights that would easily give anyone other than Sonic and his pals vertigo.

Windy Hill

This part is accessible by both Sonic and E-102 (E-102 is limited only to this area). There will be places where the player needs to have enough speed to ride along the currents. Whenever leaves are flying about, pouring on the speed will send Sonic flying through the air and riding the currents to the other side. Also, Sonic's Homing Attack can be used on the small windmills to reach shortcuts and Item Boxes.

Tornado

This part is only for Sonic. The player will be sucked up into a giant tornado and must make their way out the top. The only way to escape is to carefully walk along pieces of land that the tornado has sucked up.

The Air

This section is for Sonic and Tails (Tails is limited only to this area). Once Sonic gets shot out the top of the tornado, he will be making his way along pieces of the ground that are falling through the sky. The player must get ready for some wild angles and try to compensate their control to match. An extra man can be found near the beginning of this section. At one point, instead of taking a rocket pod, the player must use Sonic's Light-Speed Dash on a line of rings just to the right of the rocket pod.

Sonic savvy players will also recognize the music from this section as an arrangement of the music from Green Grove Zone in the Sega Genesis version of Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island!
