Volcanic Vault is the first level in SegaSonic the Hedgehog. Sonic, Mighty, and Ray are dropped here after being blasted from the Prison Tower.
The level is set in a volcano. Molten hot rocks rain from the sky to send our heroes to a fiery grave and lava geysers erupt beneath their feet to make our heroes extra-crispy. This level also has the honor of being the first non-Tropical Island-themed level at the beginning of a Sonic game.
