Turquoise Hill Zone is the first level of Sonic Chaos for the Sega Game Gear / Sega Master System. As with other stages in this game, Turquoise Hill consists of two standard Acts followed by a shorter, third Act which contains the Zone's boss. Geographically, this zone is situated on South Island (as is the rest of Sonic Chaos).
Very much in the style of Green Hill Zone as a tropical-paradise-themed opening level, Turquoise Hill is filled with grassy plains, palm trees, checkered soil, and loop-the-loops (as well as mobius strips from Emerald Hill Zone. Indeed, given that the game takes place on South Island, Turquoise Hill is likely Green Hill's next-door-neighbour. What distinguishes Turquoise Hill from its greener counterpart is the profusion of springs all over the place: on rocks, hidden underground... and even on the back of badniks, which makes the Bane Motora bug robots impossible to smash from above. A Spin Dash will do the trick, though.
Badniks
- Bane Motora - Badnik similar to the Motora of Sonic the Hedgehog, but with springs attached to their backs.
- Beeton - Robotic insects similar to Buzz Bombers, but lacking a missile.
