Tropical Reservoir (Tropical Resort according to Nintendo Power) was one of the two first levels of Sonic Colours (the other being Sweet Mountain) to be revealed. The appearance of the stage is described by Nintendo Power as "futuristic Las Vegas in outer space". In one screenshot from the same article, ferris wheels can be seen in the background as torches and totem pole-shaped fountains line Sonic's path. According to Nintendo Power, Eggman can also be heard over the loudspeaker, telling one of the visitors that their car's lights were left on in the parking lot.
