Threat From Outer Space is the 36th episode in the first season of Sonic X. In the English dub, it is known as Shadow World. This episode is the fourth part of the series' adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2.
Episode Summary
Sonic is unwilling to stay in hiding after his last adventure, so he and his friends set out to find Dr. Eggman's base. However, Knuckles is the one who ultimately finds it, while searching for Rouge and the stolen Master Emerald.
Eggman, however, is on board Space Colony ARK, along with Shadow, Rouge, and Chris. As Shadow recalls the last moments of Maria's life, Eggman works to get the Eclipse Cannon online. With five Chaos Emeralds in place, Eggman blows half of the moon away as a demonstration of power and demands that Earth surrender within 24 hours.
After dodging more of GUN's robots, Knuckles leads Sonic and his friends to Eggman's pyramid base in the desert. Tails follows later, having spent some time preparing a replica of the yellow Chaos Emerald. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Tanaka blast off in Eggman's spaceship to rescue Chris.
