Sonic receives an invitation to the party, but doesn't bother reading it. Chris and the others decide they will go anyway. Sonic declines to go because he promised Helen, a disabled girl who is Chris' classmate, he'd take to an island in a lake where many white flowers grow. He rushes off to borrow Chuck's boat.
In the introduction sequence, Jerome Wise is laughing that the president defeated Dr. Eggman once and for all. The president reminds him that Sonic is the one that defeated the mad scientist and destroyed his best robot (so far). Jerome believes that because of that, Sonic will be elected as the new president of the United Federation. So he schemes up a party so the current president will be re-elected. Jerome sends a letter to the Thorndyke mansion, but Sonic says he can't make it. He explains that by the lake, he met a girl named Helen who wants to visit an island in the middle of the lake. Sonic promised to take her, and when the flashback ends, he hurries off to get a boat. Meanwhile, in the White House, Jerome is expecting Sonic to visit, and the media arrive to take pictures. Amy Rose, Miles Prower, Cream the Rabbit, Cheese, Chris and Chuck arrive, but not Sonic. Jerome panicks and the media try to leave, but Jerome assures them that Sonic will arrive soon. He demands GUN to try and stop Sonic, but they fail horribly. Sonic and Helen go out towards the island, but they have a GUN transport helicopter hot on their heels! It manages to sink the boat, but Sonic uses the rope to swing himself and Helen to safety. They explore the island while getting chased by GUN soldiers, and when they find a cliff, Sonic zooms up. The two find a beautiful field of daisies, but the GUN soldiers try to climb up the face of the hill! The two escape, but they find themselves staring over a deep blue sea! They are surrounded, but Sonic grabs Helen right out of her wheelchair, goes up the tightrope and KO's the pilot of the helicopter. He fires a rope and transports the wheelchair as well. Sonic flies the chopper above Station Square, but Helen reminds him that he needs to see the president. Sonic brings Helen, but by then, the reporters and photographers have fallen asleep!

In Helen's house, the girl is telling her parents about her grand adventure with her friend Sonic, but realizes she's out of dinner. She asks her mother for more, so she goes to the kitchen, followed by her father. They talk that now Helen is so happy, and they wish they could be with their daughter more. Her father suggests that one day, they should go back to that island. Helen asks what is taking them so long, and they get back to the table. Helen says she and Sonic got into a helicopter, and her father guesses that Sonic flew it to the White House. Helen is ticked off that she didn't get to tell him about the best part!

Later, at the White House, the gang arrive at the party and are greeted by Jerome Wise, who becomes agitated when he notices Sonic is missing.
