Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Simon Wai prototype)/Comparisons/Wood Zone

From Sonic Retro

< Talk:Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Simon Wai prototype)

"but at the end, this section" <- Really, there's truly no end section for Wood Zone, as it's actually a loopback, due to its max camera X boundary being 0x3FFF, which allows the level to read data beyond where it's supposed to (value should've been 320 pixels before 0x4000 to properly stop the camera at the very end). Really, this applies to any level with that max camera X boundary value (Zone 0x01, Zone 0x03, Metropolis, Hidden Palace, Casino Night, Genocide City, and Death Egg). Should the loopbacks still remain documented in these comparisons? --ArtmeierCompanies (talk) 01:10, 18 April 2018 (EST)

For a Zone that pretty much had no future beyond the Simon Wai prototype, a "comparison" probably wouldn't fit this Zone at all (unless you want to compare this zone to the EHZ1 copy in the final, which is like comparing bread to crackers). --BSonirachi (talk) 15:23, 14 April 2018 (CDT)

Yeah I realised that when I started writing it.
I do, incidentally, want to compare the remains in some form, though whether any more can be done than comparing the two (wildly different) maps is another story -Black Squirrel (talk) 15:34, 14 April 2018 (CDT)
