Appearances

Spikes appears in the 2012 version of Sonic Jump in Jungle Zone, where it can be easily destroyed with a Spin Jump.

In Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II, Spikes returns with an updated appearance in White Park Zone. Unlike previous games, it will hide in its shell when approached and it cannot be destroyed by rolling into it, but it can be crushed by a snowball or the Rolling Combo.

Spikes also returns in Sonic Dash, looking similar to its Sonic 4 iteration. In this game, it can only be destroyed using the Spin Attack or Dash Boost.

In Sonic Lost World, Spikes can be found in Tropical Coast with its classic look. Here, it must be destroyed using a Spin Dash.
