Marble Zone further demonstrates that Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis isn't very good with its camera, with many sections of the level being visible when they shouldn't be. Larger objects in this stage also highlight problems with the drawing routine - that platforms can "pop" into view at a moment's notice rather than scroll in.
