Wacky Workbench can only be accessed through the level select screen, and is the first stage that can't be completed without debug mode. Nevertheless, while it's missing a few important objects and rings, it looks the part.

Act 1

The past version has a completely different palette and has Sonic start behind some girders.

Missing objects can cause problems during regular play. The missing spring here means Sonic is trapped.

You can't be frozen by the blue flames in the 510 prototype, because they don't exist yet.

The secret angel gives you nothing.

The Eggman statue, meanwhile, isn't even here yet.

These half-finished electric coils won't hurt you.

Though in the past, they cause the sky to flash momentarily.

The coils in the future time zones don't work at all.

The goal has been thrown here without much thought. Signposts hover above the ground (and in-front of the foreground) and most of the giant ring resides inside the ceiling.

These contraptions don't work yet, though with a bit of negotiating, you can still squeeze through.

Act 3

Act 3 is impossible to finish without debug mode. There's no means of getting past this initial section, because the moving platforms are missing.

While the boss area has been mapped out, the boss itself has yet to be implemented.

There's a miscoloured capule though. Dodgy collision in this area means it can only be opened with a spin dash.

The flowers of Wacky Workbench are the same seen in Quartz Quadrant, albeit mapped to a different incorrect palette.
