Sonic the Hedgehog CD is an enhanced remake of the 1993 Sega Mega CD game Sonic the Hedgehog CD. It is developed by indie developer The Taxman using his Retro Engine and published by Sega for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, PC and iOS devices. The game is scheduled for release in Q4 2011. Various enhancements include widescreen support, time attack leaderboards, various filters to change the way the game is displayed, and a mode allowing for a Sonic 2 styled spindash.
