Sonic Shuffle/Development

Sonic Shuffle had gone through several changes over its development process. There are several rejected ideas, levels, and other things that were left on the cutting room floor. The following details several of these things.

  The "fist" space in this screenshot does not appear in the final game.

• 

  Again, the missing "fist" space. It's possible that they were replaced with character-specific moves.

• 

  Another "fist" space on the bottom left of the screen.

• 

  This is an early screenshot of Sonic holding one of the Precioustones. The background is obstacle free and the floor is just made up of Sonic Shuffle logos.

• 

  The boxes that the characters grab in Manic Maze are different than in the final.

• 

  The dolphin space is orange in the final, rather than cyan.

• 

  All the characters here have old artwork recycled from Sonic Adventure. In the final, they're given custom-made icons.

• 

  The building appears green instead of yellow.

• 

  Different expression on Tails' face.

• 

  Different expression, and Tails' eyes are facing forward.
