Introduction

Sonic Jam was was a compilation of the 4 popular Sonic games Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles from the Mega Drive/Genesis era re-released on the Sega Saturn, along with 3 extra games: Blue Sphere, Knuckles in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Each game is complete with Japanese and English manuals. Difficulty settings for each game is Easy, Normal and Original.

Easy - 1 act per level, easy special stages, added sprites to help make gameplay easier.

Normal - All acts added, slightly easy special stages.

Original - Original Mega Drive/Genesis format, no added extras.

In Sonic the Hedgehog, the spindash ability is available. It can be turned on and off in Sonic 1's Menu.

SONIC WORLD

Another addition to Sonic Jam is Sonic World, which is accessed at the title screen menu. A 3D adventure world with many buildings containing art, history, music, movies and character profiles. Plus the mission mode where you must embark on certain missions in the quickest time. If you complete all missions, a secret surprise awaits you.

Time Attack Sonic World

At the title screen menu, highlight Sonic World and press and hold A and press START. Keep the A button Held until Sonic World begins and a clock timer will appear. Collect 100 rings before the time runs out to recieve a Secret Surprise.

Extra Folder

If you place your Sonic Jam CD in your CD-ROM drive and check the EXTRA folder, You'll find some cool stuff there.

Sonic Jam for Game.com

Sonic Jam was also released on the Tiger Game.com portable system, and featured levels from Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles.
