Sonic DS is a proof of concept port of Sonic 1, 2, and 3 & Knuckles for the DS. It also has the first level from Sonic the Hedgehog Megamix with some of its features. It was created by Stealth in 2009 and he updated it in 2010. Originally made in hopes of getting it used in the recently announced Sonic Classic Collection. This has loading times mostly when switching games, loading music, and special stages.

Bugs

  • Drowning doesn't work.
  • Music from other games is played in the wrong game. For example Sonic 3 music in Sonic 1.
  • Broken graphics.
  • Waterfalls are broken.

Fixes

  • Fixed dying when going below the camera in Green Hill Zone Act 1.
  • Fixes the spike bug.
  • Can't climb on top of structures you aren't supposed to be able to in Sonic 1 with Knuckles.

Sonic 1

  • Green Hill Zone and only Act 1 of Labyrinth Zone without most objects are present.
  • Spindash is present.
  • Tails and Knuckles are playable.
  • Special Stages.

Sonic 2

  • Title Screen and some objects have corrupt graphics.
  • Only Emerald Hill Zone Act 1 is present
  • Special Stages.

Sonic 3

  • Angel Island Act 1 and 2 only and they both have very corrupt graphics.
  • No miniboss.
  • Blue Sphere now has a minimap on the bottom screen.

Sonic Megamix

  • Sunny Shores Zone is the only zone in the game
  • Homing Attack.
  • Light Speed Dash.
  • Special Stages.
