Sonic Boom is a community event created by SEGA of America to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, set at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, California on June 6, 2011, during E3. The main attraction to the event is a public opportunity to play the upcoming game Sonic Generations, along with guests, performances and other activities. It is the first Sonic-themed community event in the United States hosted by Sega.

The event was announced by Associate Brand Manager RubyEclipse on the SEGA America blog. The event has a capacity of 2,000, with reserved admission passes being distributed between SEGA, Sonic Retro and Sonic Stadium.
