The 2001-05-07 build of Sonic Adventure 2 is a prototype build of Sonic Adventure 2 for the Sega Dreamcast. It claims to have been built on May 7, 2001.
Built almost a month before the final retail builds, this prototype contains all the content from the main game and hasn't been truncated for demo purposes. As well as numerous differences from the final game, there are a number of debugging features accessible within the game, including an extensive debug menu for the Chao Garden.
History
This prototype was discovered and acquired by drx of Hidden Palace, and was streamed on Twitch alongside the 1993-09-17 prototype of Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball and a VHS tape of an animation test for Feel on December 30, 2020. The prototype was released to the public after the stream had ended.
