Sonic 3 Delta is a hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 by Esrael Neto, which features the Sonic & Knuckles levels (Mushroom Hill Zone (as Mushroom Valley Zone), Flying Battery Zone, Sandopolis Zone, Lava Reef Zone, Sky Sanctuary Zone, Death Egg Zone, and The Doomsday Zone) in the Sonic 3 ROM. However, only the layouts, collision, and palettes are implemented in the S&K levels, and they can only be accessed through the level select menu.
Strangely, when running the game in Kega Fusion (one of the most accurate emulators), and almost every other emulator, the game freezes after the Ring Counter appears and Knuckles steals your emeralds. Why this occurs is completely unknown. This game has been tested on a AtGames Sega Genesis Ultimate Portable Game Player, and works as intended. It is unknown if it runs on any other hardware.
This hack has been abandoned in favor of Sonic Delta 40 Mb, which has been updated to include levels from all 4 classic Sonic games.
