The Sonic & Tails Jitsuenyou Sample (ソニック&テイルス 実演用 サンプル) is a sample version of Sonic & Tails, known internationally as Sonic Chaos, for the Sega Game Gear. It was released by SMS Power on December 12th, 2010. It was likely used in game stores to demonstrate the Game Gear.

Internally, the demo build is referred to as version 0.99 and dated 1993/09/14. The final version is referred to as version 1.01 and dated 1993/09/07 which is a week earlier than the demo build.

Overview

As a demo, the only Zones that are available to play are Turquoise Hill Zone and Gigalopolis Zone. If the player accesses the level select, they can only access these two Zones. After completing both of the Zones, the game ends with text that reads "COMMING SOON", along with a voice sample that narrates the text.

All cutscenes and rolling demos are intact and previews the same levels. Mecha Green Hill Zone is showcased even though it is not playable.
