The Snailbot is a cut badnik that appeared in Emerald Hill Zone. Its design is an overgrown snail with spikes at the top of its body. When the badnik sees Sonic, it charges at him by speeding up. It can be destroyed by simply jumping on it. It was replaced in Sonic 2 Beta 4 by the Coconuts monkey badnik.

Its behaviour may have been transferred to the Rhinobot badnik in Angel Island Zone.
