Shadow Tag is a VS 4 mini-game in Sonic Shuffle. It is randomly played when a player lands on an Event Space.
Gameplay
This mini-game is similar to Sonic Tag, except it takes place in a small, circular oasis arena on a single screen. The player that is IT (marked with Dr. Eggman's symbol above their head) will constantly lose Rings and must tag another player by stepping on their shadow. When a player is tagged, they will drop 5 Rings. From time to time, Eggman will shine a light on a player who is not IT to make their shadow longer. Because the sand is hard to run on, jumping can often be quicker.
Near the end of the mini-game, the sun will set and everyone's shadows will naturally get longer, making them easier to tag. The three players that are not IT at the end will win 20 Rings, while watching the IT character get abducted by Eggman's beam.
