Overview
Starting from a bamboo forest, Seasonal Shrines takes racers through a Japanese landscape featuring an underground river, past a Buddha statue, across bridges and up a tall staircase in a very technical course with many route splits. Every lap, the season and time of day changes after racers leave the underground river, true to the track's name: the first lap begins in spring at dawn, the second lap goes to summer at noon, and the final lap is in autumn at dusk.
Music
The music that plays here is Idaten, which is remixed to have a faster pace not unlike the 2002 Shinobi game. This transitions into Japanesque, a song from Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master. The intro music played is Izatoi, also from Shinobi III.
