The Roller mk.II is a Badnik featured in Mirage Saloon Zone from Sonic Mania.

Overview

This Badnik is an enhanced model of the Roller Badnik from Sonic the Hedgehog, painted red with a yellow V instead of blue with a red V. Like the original model, this Badnik will curl itself into a ball and roll in order to attack the player. Unlike the original, this Badnik will actively pursue the player rather than roll forward continuously, turning around if the player goes past them. In order to defeat this Badnik, the player must use a Spin Attack to bounce into it and make it uncurl, then quickly destroy it with any attack before it curls up again.

When the Roller mk.II jumps and curls up, the sound it makes is the same jump sound used by the player in Sonic the Hedgehog CD and Chaotix.
