Red Mountain is a Sonic Adventure stage that takes place on Angel Island, presumably not far from Ice Cap. Sonic chases the Egg Carrier though this area.
It's characteristic red soil and strange fire-related devices of unknown origin are of note.
The second "act" takes place inside an active volcano with all kinds of strange skeletons and contraptions.
