The Puyoyo (オトト)Media:SonicLabyrinth GG JP manual.pdf[1] is an enemy that appears in Sonic Labyrinth, encountered in the Labyrinth of the Sea.

They are blobby jellyfish-like robots that squirm along the ground in erratic patterns. They have no particular means of attacking Sonic, so they are easily disposed of with a Spin Dash.

Origin

The Puyoyo greatly resembles the Clear Puyo pieces found in the Puyo Puyo series and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine in terms of appearance. Their name is even derived from the Puyos themselves.
