Orbinaut is an enemy (Badnik) found in the video game, Sonic the Hedgehog. Orbinauts are robots modelled after sea urchins.Media:GD Sonic1 GDC2018 Enemies1.png[1] It launches its four spike balls along a horizontal line when Sonic approaches, leaving it vulnerable to attack.

Orbinaut is one of the few enemies not featured in the North American or European manuals. The name "Orbinaut" first appeared in merchandise during the early 1990s.

A green variant that doesn't fire its spike balls can be found in Star Light Zone. In Japan, each version has its own name, the version that fires its spike balls is called Unidus, while the version that retains its spike balls is called Uni Uni.
