Ocean Base Zone is, as expected, an underwater base in Sonic Advance 3 that can get confusing if you intend to rush your way through the zone blindly. The water can be heavily polluted at some places, here... Most places, that is. There are waterfalls of what appears to be sand, or really thick, murky water, that Sonic can ascend to get to higher areas. In appearance, it is basically as high tech version of Hydrocity.

Other obstacles include giant crushers (some of which will sprout spikes a short while after you land upon them) and spike pits. Gimmicks here include giant fan propellors that slowly rise as you jump upon them (similar in appearance to a smaller gimmick in Sky Canyon, Sonic Advance 2) conveyor belts, and rails that sometimes offer an alternative path to underwater routes.
