Mushmeanies return in the 3DS version of Sonic Generations, found in Mushroom Hill again with the same attack pattern, though they are more determined in pursuing their target. They are defeated in the same way, but in Modern Sonic's case they can be boosted into, instantly destroying them regardless of their caps.

Mushmeanies also return in the Wii U/PC version of Sonic Lost World where they can be found in Silent Forest Zone 1, 2 and Sky Road Zone ?, retaining their attack patterns and means of protection from previous appearances. However, in this game, their caps can only be removed with the Flying Kick.
