Mono Beetle

The Mono Beetle (モノビートル) is a mass-produced G.U.N. robot that is part of the Beetle series. It's the most basic of the series, and is used as a base from where all the other models are designed and modified from.

It has no attacks and stands still only to excitedly move up and down slightly when it spots a character, serving little more than surveillance drones for the military. Their purpose in gameplay is often to serve as Homing Attack stepping stones, much like the Spinners.

The Mono Beetle returns again in both versions of Sonic Generations where they can be found in their respective stages from Sonic Adventure 2: City Escape in the console/PC version, and Radical Highway in the Nintendo 3DS version. Their behavior and appearance are the same as they were in Sonic Adventure 2.
