Mole Cannons pop out of the ground, firing at Sonic. They will duck back underground, becoming invincible, when approached. In the Wii and PlayStation 2 versions, you can destroy them using normal attacks, provided you're moving fast enough, but, in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, you can only destroy them by launching other enemies into them with a Homing Attack, or by using the Stomp technique on top of them.
