Mic Drop is a Badnik featured in Studiopolis Zone from Sonic Mania. These badniks are based on old-fashioned microphones, but suspended from the ceiling by a cable. It will hide in the ceiling until the player approaches, at which point it will drop down on its cable. After about two seconds, it will begin to swing back and forth in an attempt to damage the player. It will also periodically discharge electricity for additional defense. Attacking it while it's not discharging electricity will destroy it. A Lightning Shield will protect the player from Mic Drop's electric discharge, leaving the badnik defenseless.
