The Meter Droid is the ninth mini-boss fought in Sonic Mania, encountered at the end of Oil Ocean Zone Act 1. Its design loosely resembles the Hey Ho robot fought in Sonic & Knuckles' Mushroom Hill Zone, albeit styled as a plumber rather than a lumberjack.
