Masher (called Gabucho in the Japanese manual) are piranha bots in Sonic 2's Emerald Hill Zone that behave similarly to Sonic 1's Chopper (called Batabata in the Japanese manual) enemies, except that these guys hang out at waterfalls rather than bridges.
