Overview
The Marvelous Queen is designed as a flying airbike with a single passenger seat and a yellow and blue hull. In its initial appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble, the Marvelous Queen appeared as an unnamed airbike that was used as a means of transport for Fang as he is not as fast as the other characters in the game[3]. From the second encounter onwards, Fang uses the airbike in his numerous boss fights in the Special Stages, with the airbike sporting a different attachment in each fight. At the end of every fight, the airbike is blown to smithereens.
In Sonic Drift 2, the Marvelous Queen was given its name and redesigned as a sleek racing hovercar. In this game, it has high acceleration and speed, but has difficulty turning around corners. The vehicle's special ability is to toss "Oil Balls"[1] onto the track, which will make any racer who crashes into one spin out and lose Rings similar to the Egg Typhoon's mines.
Character | Vehicle | Special Move | Gameplay | |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Acceleration | Speed | Handling | ||||
Fang | Marvelous Queen | Sling oil balls (same as collision) | High | High | Low |
The Marvelous Queen is once again Fang's primary mode of transportation in Sonic Superstars, and its design in the game is based on its previous design from Sonic Drift 2. Fang is stated to be constantly modifying and upgrading the Marvelous Queen to try and stay one step ahead[4].

Sonic the Hedgehog (Archie comics)
In Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs, the Marvelous Queen was also used as Nack's personal hover-bike for many situations, though it has been referred to as the Sky Cycle or the Sky Sled. Its design varied across the comic series' run, barely resembling its in-game counterpart prior to the Super Genesis Wave and being redesigned to closely resemble its Sonic Drift 2 design after the Super Genesis Wave.
The Marvelous Queen is equipped with a wide array of weapons and utilities, including a Chaos Emerald tracker and additional sidecars for Bean and Bark to ride in.
