Lily is the name of the blue Flicky that Amy Rose befriends in Sonic Adventure. Lily's name is only revealed in Sonic X and was referred to as "Birdie" in Sonic Adventure. Around Lily's neck is the cyan Chaos Emerald which is why she is desired by Doctor Robotnik.

Amy first encounters Lily when she slams into her after escaping from Robotnik's Egg Carrier. Soon she is pursued by ZERO and Amy vows to protect her. After getting separated from Sonic, Amy and Lily get kidnapped by ZERO and are put in a holding cell in the Egg Carrier Robotnik orders E-102 Gamma to take Lily from Amy. Lily flies up to Gamma's face appearing to almost recognize it. Unknown to Amy, Lily's mother was the bird put inside Gamma. Because of this, Gamma releases Amy and Lily.

After Amy and Lily escape from the Egg Carrier, Amy discovers the picture of Lily's mother and father (brother and sister in Sonic X) in the locket around her neck. Amy decides to help Lily find her parents. They eventually come back to the Egg Carrier where they find Lily's parents. Just as they were about to reunite, Lily is shot down by ZERO. Angered, Amy fights and destroys it. Lily is not seriously hurt by ZERO's sneak attack and is able to fly off with her parents.

In Sonic X, Lily's role is exactly the same as in Sonic Adventure.

Like Cheese, Lily's gender varies between media. In Sonic Adventure, Lily was referred to as male by Amy. In Sonic X, however, Lily is female.

During the course of Sonic Adventure, Lily always appears by Amy's side. But she will not appear while in the Chao Garden or in Sonic Adventure: DX's Mission Mode. Some believe that Amy and Lily were a precursor to Cream and Cheese.
