Jellygnite

Jellygnites or Jellies are exclusive enemies of the remastered version of Sonic 2, it's obviously based on jellyfish with a pair of front eyes and 3 tentacles. They are found on the Hidden Palace Zone in underwater sections, it has an attack pattern similar to that of the Grabbers consisting of catching the player and electrocuting it to generate their self-destruction. However, unlike Grabbers where it was impossible to escape their attack, it is possible to escape the Jellies by pressing several buttons.

They return in Sonic Mania, this time in Hydrocity Zone, also underwater sections of the stage.
