Green Hill is the first stage in Sonic Generations and an adaption of the level Green Hill Zone seen in Sonic the Hedgehog (fused with some elements taken from Emerald Hill Zone). Predictably it is the easiest stage in the game and is the only stage in both the console and handheld versions of the game. The Handheld's classic version layout is exactly like the original game.
As well as being the first zone to be announced, it is the only playable level within the Sonic Generations demo.
