Fireworm, called Mamba (マンバー) in the Japanese Manual, is a worm-like badnik from Sonic & Knuckles found flying around in Lava Reef Zone. They slowly fly back and forth, shooting fire from their bodies. They can be simply destroyed with a jump to the head, but watch the spikes underneath!

They return with the same attack pattern in Sonic Mania, found in Lava Reef Zone again.
