The Fire Master (ファイアマスター) is one of Dark Gaia's minions that appears in the night stages of Sonic Unleashed.

This enemy is akin to the Dark Master, but it instead has a reddish tint to its color instead of just the plain purple. The Fire Master launches a fireball towards the player, inflicting a good deal of damage, the player catching on fire, and dropping whatever item the player may be holding as a result. To dispatch of this enemy, the player must throw a barrel of water at it, ridding it of the flame, then focus their attacks on the Fire Master. Alternatively, if in Unleashed form, the player can just go ahead and attack it, as they'll take no damage.

In the Wii/PS2 version, they will use a different attack in which they dash into Sonic. Additionally, touching them while they're cloaked in fire in this version will simply hurt the player and not set them on fire.
