"Escape from the City" (sometimes erroneously called "Follow Me") is the music for the City Escape stage in Sonic Adventure 2. It was composed and arranged by Jun Senoue, with lyrics penned by lead vocalist Ted Poley. Prior to the release of SA2, an instrumental version of this piece is used in Sonic Adventure 2: The Trial. The track also appears on Crush 40's eponymous 2003 album as a bonus track with a slightly different mix.

Two original arrangements appear in Sonic Generations: one by Cash Cash for Act 1 of City Escape and one by Jun Senoue himself for Act 2. The former - titled "Escape from the City - Cash Cash RMX" in the game's soundtrack - includes the melody for "Endless Mine Zone" from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The latter - dubbed "Escape from the City - Blue Blur RMX" - has Ted Poley return as lead vocalist, includes new lyrics, and incorporates the melody for "It Doesn't Matter", Sonic's theme from Sonic Adventure 2.
