Emerl is a robot who debuted in Sonic Battle and is said to be a destructive weapon called the Gizoid, as discovered by Professor Gerald Robotnik. His grandson, Doctor Eggman, took him in the hopes of using him to rule the world, but tosses him aside when he finds no use for him.
