Electro Spinner in Sonic Colors.

Spana (スパナ ), or Electro Spinner, is a badnik which first appears in Sonic Adventure and makes later appearances from Sonic Unleashed onward.

The Spana is a variant of the Spina badnik that is capable of defending itself with an electrical barrier that prevents players from attacking it with a Homing Attack. In Sonic Adventure, it looks identical to a regular Spinner, but from Sonic Unleashed onward they have been given a turquoise color to make them distinguishable from regular Spinners while also adopting the less menacing redesign the Spinners have been given.

In Sonic Colors, the Electro Spinners were given a design that is a hybrid of the Adventure and Unleashed designs while retaining the turquoise colouring. The DS version also features multiple new types of Spinners:

Sliver/Plated Spinners cannot be destroyed.

Prism Spinners disappear and reappear.
