Egg Carrier Battle is the 30th episode in the first season of Sonic X. In the English dub, it is known as Heads Up, Tails!. This episode is the fourth part of the series' adaptation of Sonic Adventure.
Episode Summary
Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, having crash-landed on the Egg Carrier, begin their attack. Knuckles heads off to find the pieces of the Master Emerald, while Sonic and Tails search for Amy. Decoe, Bocoe, and Eggman corner Amy and Lily as Sonic and Tails catch up to them, and Eggman takes the Chaos Emerald from Lily's locket. Eggman orders E-102 Gamma to destroy Sonic, and the two fight, despite Amy's protests that Gamma is not really evil. Sonic defeats Gamma, but moved by Amy's entreaties, spares the robot's life. Sonic takes off after Eggman, leaving Amy to revive Gamma and escape with Tails' aid.
Meanwhile, Big and Chris rescue Froggy, and Knuckles returns with the shards of the Master Emerald. As Big and Chris escape to the deck of the Egg Carrier, Eggman and Chaos corner them and take back the Chaos Emerald that Froggy had swallowed.
