In Sonic the Comic, Dr. Ovi Kintobor was Robotnik's original, good natured self before an accident made him evil.
Little known fact: Ovum is the latin word for egg. Coincidence? Nah.
Story
He was involved in an accident while conducting an experiment with Sonic, this turned Sonic blue (he used to be brown like normal) and Kintobor evil because he morphed with a rotton egg. Read his name backwards, its the opposite. Of course, the spirit is still alive and during some adventures Sonic met Kintobor until eventually placing him in a computer system...
